Northwest Community Credit Union was first
organized in 1939 by the members of a church on the northwest
side of Chicago. It has since grown into a multi-million dollar
cooperative. Years of hard work and a recent decade of amazing
growth have caused it to be ranked among the top 20% of Illinois
credit unions according to asset size. Northwest Community
was the proud recipient of The
Niles Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Business of the
Year Award in January of 1999.
Through the years, our credit union has expanded its field
of membership to include twenty-six other churches and twenty-one
employee groups, as well as those
people who live or work in Maine or Niles Townships, view
community membership. Now officially a community credit
union, it epitomizes the philosophy of "people helping
people." The management and staff are dedicated to serving
the financial needs of the members while maintaining the credit
union's long-term stability.
Members are given personal attention and service, from the
live person who answers the phone to the employees who know
you well enough to call you by name.
Northwest Community Credit Union brings back memories
of the old-time, friendly financial institution, with all
of the technology of the 21st century.
